Last week we went to Brittin's performance for her little singing group she is in. We were all hoping for a great day outside. Unfortuneately it was over cast and as the program started it began to rain. Grandma Weedn came up with Gwen and Aubrey to watch. We all set up our chairs and toughed it out in the rain. Before the program began the people in charge started reading off names of the people who had registered and gave away gifts. Bike helmets, chalk, bug catchers. Dominick quickly noticed that as your name was read you get a toy. We hadn't registerd yet so I ran up to do it and found out you get free hot dogs and drinks for the kids. This is great! We had already eaten but we couldn't pass up free! So we all sat down with food and watched her perform. Brittin did GREAT! It was so fun to watch and even during some of it she smiled and looked like she was having a good time. Brittin doesn't really know how to perform with a smile. She loves being apart of this singing group, but she always looks bored.
After her little program was over we walked up to the slides to play. It was still raining but the kids had a great time.
After a few minutes playing we went back down to watch Mr. Stinky Feet. This guy was great. He sings children's songs and includes the kids in his show. Everyone had a great time. They all got a chance to go up since there were very few people who braved the rain to come to Kid's Fest.
I think of all the kids Holland had the greatest time. She was dancing around with her friends laughing and having fun. She is so fun to watch!
We all had a great time dispite the rain. We didn't get any toys unfortunately. But the kids had a blast. I think even Grandma had fun...she just wishes Mr. Stinky Feet would change his name. : )
