Carolyn Sue Weedn 78 of Gallatin passed away Saturday April 21, 2012 at her home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 25, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gallatin. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Winston Cemetery near Winston. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Autism Speaks or the Epilepsy Foundation of Kansas-Missouri in care of McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin.

Sue was born November18, 1933 to Harve Henry and Ella Iola Belle (Williams) Prichard in Duncan, OK where she graduated from High School in1951. Sue was a stay at home mother who was devoted to caring for her children’s every need. After her 5 children were grown Sue joined the worked force and was employed at Kirton McConkie Law Firm as an administrative assistant in Salt Lake City, UT, and late rat Amware Auto Parts Warehouse, where she dedicated many years of service; always willing to do what was needed to get the job done.
In 1983 Sue was called to serve a two year LDS Mission in San Bernardino, CA. where she ministered to the Spanish population, sharing her time and talents; truly a mission of labor and love.
In1986 Sue moved to Texas and was employed at Moore Business Systems and later worked as a property manager at Lincoln Property Company in Dallas, TX. before retiring in 2008. In 2009 Sue moved to Gallatin to enjoy small town living and to continue her passion as a full time grandmother of 22 and a great-grandmother of 37(including 3 on the way).
Sue lived in Utah, Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri where, as a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints, she faithfully served in many positions including Relief Society President (several times), Den Mother (back in the day) , Primary Teacher, Organist, Pianist and most recently as a Consultant at the LDS Family History Center. She participated on the committee that published the Church "Family Home Evening Manual" as well as crocheting an alter cloth that now resides in the Dallas Temple.
Sue also had a passion for family history. She loved to do family research and spent many hours compiling data at the Family History Center here in Gallatin. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet.
One of her delights was crocheting over 50 afghans for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her passion of caring for others was evident by the life she lived. Her faith in the phrase “Family Is Forever” will live on thru her teaching and example of unconditional love and service to those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, James Dale Weedn (Rachel) and a granddaughter Carrie Elisabeth Weedn.
Sue is survived by her brother Charles Harold Prichard (Doris) of Lawton OK, her children, Deborah Ann Love (Steve) of Salt Lake City, UT, Robert Lee Weedn (Regina) of Mesquite,TX, Harve Timothy Dwight Weedn (Lisa) of Lake Worth, Tx, Marilyn Sue Demke of Gallatin, MO. Sue has twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
Sue is an elect lady, a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
