Sweet Chloe

Chloe is in Jazz Band at school and she is paying for her own piano lessons every month. She has been working really hard all summer babysitting so she can pay for them. I am amazed at her drive. She wants to do well in school and has a goal to acheive a 4.0 at least once. Jazz Band was a difficult class at first. Before this summer Chloe hadn't been in piano lessons for almost 2 years and had developed some bad habit when trying to practice on her own. When she started school Jazz band took of with scales and Chloe hadn't really been tought scales. I always wondered why but she didn't know them so she started behind. She practices for hours everyday. She has amazed her teachers both in band and piano lessons. She has improved so much. I am amazed at her improvement. I love listening to her practice everyday and I am so proud of how determined she is to get it perfect. I love this about her.

The other day while she was practicing Dominick came up with her little box of stickers. She has this box of stickers just for him. She gives him one when he helps her or she uses it as a way to bribe him at night when she is babysitting to be good. He loves them and feels so special when she gives him one. Well he found it and brought it up to her and asked her to give him one. She quietly stopped her practicing to pull out a sticker and make her brother feel special. He smiled so big when she put it on. I was watching from the kitchen. I teared up just watching this little scene. I always worried with Chloe being so much older than him that they wouldn't be able to bond. Chloe, my sweet Chloe found a small and simple way to bond with her brother. I truely love my little family. I love the spirit in our home. I love that my kids really love each other and I really love seeing the little moments between them. I am so blessed to be their Mom. I learn so much from them.
