Brittin

Brittin has been studying the Revolutionary War in Social Studies. Her teacher has them writing information about different people and all the battles on note cards to study from. She has 80 note cards that are due this week. She has worked very hard to learn the information as she goes. She didn't realize there were so many battles and so many people that died. She has asked a lot of questions about each battle and the reason for them. In all of this studying and work on the note cards one of the questions she asked the other day was..."Mom if we fought so hard for our independence back then how come we are giving it up so easily now?" I was amazed at the question. The girls have asked about what is happening in the world with this new healthcare law. We have tried to explain in simple terms what is going on. We told them with the law we have had the freedom of choice taken from us. We don't get to choose to have healthcare anymore. This apparently sat with Brittin. This is the way she works. She really thinks things through. I am so impressed with her. She is such an amazing kid.
