Chloe's House

Chloe has a really neat Science class. They are hands on a lot of the time. This month they were learning about the way lights work and the electrical current and how circuits work. The kids were given the assignment to build a house and then wire it so that the lights would turn on and off. Chloe worked really hard on this project. I got to hear about each stage and how they worked. She went into school early...at 7:00am mind you, to work on her house several times. She was so irritated when she couldn't get her lights to work. Finally figuring out the battery was dead. We replaced it and she had the success she was looking for. She came home so excited to have received an A on the project. The school displayed all the houses for the parents to see. I had no idea what I was in for when we went to see. These projects were amazing!! What a fun way to learn about electrical currents. Chloe enjoyed the project and Brittin wanted the house for her littlest pets. Unfortunately her mother said no. The wiring and battery had to be turned over to the school and the kids were told to destroy the houses. Too bad Brit. Chloe's house is so cute! She did such a great job. Brittin even helped to decorate by making pictures with little mat frames to hang in the house. They thought of every detail. Congrats Chloe on a job well done!
